Workers’ Compensation Coalition Expands Legal Support – Press Advantage online article | August 18, 2025
The Workers Compensation Lawyer Coalition has launched a new initiative to help injured workers access legal support. This program aims to close the gap between workers and the benefits they deserve after an on-the-job injury.
At the same time, the challenges facing workers don’t end with the legal process. PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) and insurers often add unnecessary barriers that delay care and strip away fair reimbursement for providers. This makes the coalition’s work even more urgent—and highlights the need for independent organizations like RescueMeds to step up for patients.
The coalition’s new initiative simplifies the claims process. Injured workers often feel lost, but this program offers:
Guidance on organizing documents
Help with filing claims correctly
Representation in disputes
Access to online resources like blogs and FAQs
To expand outreach, the coalition will also hold community workshops and info sessions. These events will raise awareness, answer questions, and ensure workers know their rights.
Legal support is one side of the fight. On the medical side, injured workers face a different battle: delays, denials, and clawbacks from PBMs and insurers. These practices don’t just hurt pharmacies—they hurt patients who are left waiting for critical medications.
At RescueMeds, we fight back by ensuring workers can access their prescriptions quickly and at no cost to them. Just like the coalition works to secure fair legal treatment, we work to secure fair access to healthcare. Both are essential for recovery.
The coalition’s new program and RescueMeds’ advocacy share the same goal: protecting workers from being squeezed out by powerful middlemen. PBMs may control the drug pipeline, and insurers may manipulate claims, but workers are not powerless when they have allies on their side.
Together, legal advocates and independent providers can push back against anti-competitive practices, restore fairness, and keep workers’ health and rights front and center.
RescueMeds stands with injured workers.
Whether it’s fighting PBM abuse or supporting legal access, we remain committed to breaking down barriers and delivering the care workers need—without delay.
